Echinodorus Intermedins (Amazon Sword)

Echinodorus Intermedins (Amazon Sword)

This is the finest of the bunch, the real aristocrat of the aquarium. The 18 inch leaves sprout from a crown in a plume-like spray, making an artistic base from which to plan the remainder of the aquarium. The thin translucent leaves are a fresh green, tapering down towards the crown to form a shortest stem.

It propagates from runners, which pressed down into the sand where new plants to develop. It be propagated by breaking down a plant into smaller ones.

The lighting for the Amazon sword should be good, but not too powerful. A little day-lighting helps, but is not necessary
